I realize that the general consensus is that mech is dead, but I wanted to give this a shot anyway. There's a significant amount of hull-point saturation and I think that will help the list maintain a strong amount of firepower throughout the game. I'm hoping the airborne squads will cause major disruptions in the enemy backline and I'm counting on the Vendettas to do seroius damage also. With the Astropath in play, they should always be coming in on turn 2 and off the board edge I want them to come in on. I might have a bit of a problem with hordes... maybe. So yeah, that's the list. Comments are welcome.

thats a pretty good list I will try it myself at my next club meeting
the only thing i may say is switch the heavy flamers for heavy bolters because with snap firing now you can still fire everything and maybe find some points for some heavy stubbers because destroy weapons are also randomized so thats less of a chance of your precious multi-laser getting hit.
just looking again maybe stick the heavy bolters on the first 4 chimeras? If you want to keep the flamers on the other ones
And one of my pet hates with the demolisher (I guess the flamers are sponsons?) theres no point putting flamers on a demolisher because it is, more often than not, always moving to stay within range with its demolisher cannon, so I usually run,
leman russ demolisher - 190 points
Hull lascannon
Heavy stubber
And if your worried about a horde armys then stick the heavy bolter sponsons onto the vendettas, I NEVER use them without them!

Black Templars are the best Space Marine Chapter out of all the Space Marines. They are the most fanatical marines out there. They are on an endless, eternal crusade for the god emperor. AND they get in the face of the enemy. Thats the way to get things done.

I do really like this list and what I find great about it is that it uses no fortifications yet still provides ample protection for your guys. I will be trying this out for sure!

I wouldn't take any plasma pistols on squad leaders. You do not want to kill your own dudes thanks to gets hot!
I wouldn't put any troops inside a Vendetta. It's really a gunship meant for zooming about and laying lascannon death down on vehicles. I know you need 6+ to hit while shooting, but making it come close thanks to meltas isn't a awesome idea, this puts it in range of the opponent's guns.

I appreciate all the comments and feedback, I'm glad so many of you like the list. To explain some of my choices:
The heavy flamers are on the Demolishers because people in my group for some reason absolutely love getting close to those tanks, and what better way to light them up then with a demolisher shell AND fire. I'll consider the las cannon; I know most people love to use the Demolisher for anti-vehicle duty, and with the new AP2 rules this role makes even more sense, but I've always thought of it as an anti-infantry weapon.
Plasma pistols; EVERYONE on Dakka hates them, and I can see why most would think it a waste, but I've always found it as a cheap method to maximize the firepower of a plasma squad. Also, for some reason I always pass my armour saves on overheating plasma. Now, with the advent of 6th edition and the fact that I can direct the plasma pistol's shots if I roll a 6 to hit, I find them even more valuable than before; sniping the opponent's characters with an ap2 weapon is pretty huge.
As for loading troops on the Vendetta, in 5th edition I would have agreed that this was a terrible idea. However, in 6th, the combat speed of a zooming flyer is 18", which gives you a LOT of freedom to get your Vendetta to wherever you need to and use your 6" disembark to get your troops into a very dangerous position. I think this makes putting specials into your aircraft worth it, there's just SO much mobility, and such a large threat radius from that disembarkation move, that you can pretty much always get to where you want those weapons to be.

I actually found out after I had written this list that you can't disembark from a zooming flyer, so I'm actually not even sure my list will work. My apologies to anyone who read this and got their hopes up for using this tactic.
Your list is itneresting. I can see the merit behind packing on weapon upgrades to the vehicles in light of the now random weapon destroyed results, but I think the old Guard mantra of lean and mean is still the way to go. Having more crap on the board is more important I think. I'm also not sure where I stand on unmounted infantry, particularly when it comes to Commissars and power weapons. On the one hand i can see they'd be incredibly handy in objective based games, but on the whole they seem to be far more fragile and that concerns me. I'll have to try a few games with them.

Your list might still work, but you could consider removing 1 vandetta 2 get to chimeras and som extra plasma guns for an airborne squad that instead of melta and gets to ride in a chimera.
Still you can have a melta squad that rides in a vendetta. remember that you can change to hoverspeed, yes a bit more risky, but it might be the way to deploy your melta guys where you want. If vendetta survives, go back to zoom.
I like the list.
Otherwise go for all out veterans in chimeras in troops.
