Here's a little mech list I came up with. Some of my friends think its ok. I feel it is competitive. What do you think?

Also for anyone confused, Templar landspeeders still have their strength 8 typhoon missile launcher if upgraded as said in all the FAQs except the english one.

Sick list. I am thinking that you want your Chappy, and EC to go in the LRC, correct? What will you do with the techmarines then?

At 2k points, you only have 2 scoring units? That seems rather low when so many of the missions are multiple objectives.

Yes, depending on whats going on with the Typhoons, or Techmarines, I would add a shooty troop squad. 5 guys, with a laz or somethign simple like that. 2 LRC are nice, but templars only have 2 options for there 1 troop choice. Shooty, or a big mob of assaulty guys.

I am having a hard time coming up with lists... Lately I have been running the 20 man mobs across the board. I will be building 2 chappys for my HQ, and then run a techmarine in one squad as well.

Also, those single landspeeders are going to be easy First Blood.

Too little scoring units.
I like the techmarines but I would replace them for 3 more typhoons.

2000 points is a lot of enemy to contend with. All eggs in one basket hopefully works for you.

J99Pwrangler: I am going to put the techmarines in the LRC with the HQs and troops. If I feel I don't want techmarines I can have a chappy with the other squad and then have a 5 man squad with a lacannon I think

Rictor: Use only 2 troops. Thats all I've usually needed for Templars. I have found that with 2 vindicators, 3 typhoons, and 2 LRCs I can blow off troops from their objectives. The whole point of this army is to have enough weapons to get enemies off objectives piecemeal with ranged weapons, or charge in with the big squads and wipe them off. And you'd be surprised what 3 typhoons can when they are placed in cover.

Mfletch: I don't have enough land speeders sadly. I can fit another one in for now. That would 140 points. What would I do with it?

The EA on the Vindicators is wasted, with PotMS they can still move and shoot I believe.

Another option would be drop 1 of the 5 man squads and for 100 points add the Aegis Defense line with the gun for taking out Fliers. Just need to find a way to shave 5 points.

The reason I like the Missiles and Melta on the land speeders is because fast vehicles can fire both weapons as full speed now. Makes having 2 str 8 AP4 missiles and 1 str 8 AP1 melta that much more deadly.

Just a thought though =)

Hey dude! I am really loving this list! I would love to try this out. I would love to add an aegis defense line for flyers and then I could camp my 5 man squad in there. Either way. I will be sure to try this list it is so sick.

Drop 1 of the 5 mans, then you only need like 5 points to put in the Aegis line with the quad gun, which you can have your remaining 5 man use to shoot, but also I believe you are looking at a 3+ cover save in it with them too.

The only thing I change with this list, is that I take 2 Pred Annilators instead of the Vindicators. I face more tanks and Tyranid monsterous creatures than I do hordes, and having 6 more lascannons on the table makes a huge difference.

Yeah I would love to have 2 predators in this list. I'm basing this of the models I own. I will be getting some Predators soon and magnetizing them. So I will be sure to add them in on the list when the models come in. What should I get them besides the lascannons. Extra armor, smoke launchers, searchlights?

What do you think of the list now?

I think your new list is really solid Storm.

If you felt the need to save any points at all, you could swap the Typhoons for normal speeders and go with the Multi-Melta/Heavy Flamer route, they are 75 points instead of 85 for the Cyclone Missiles/Multi Melta.

And the list is simple enough you can always swap to your Vindicators instead of Preds just to spice things up.

I'm liking the list actually, tried it against my Blood Angels friend and won 4-3 in victory points. My chaplain's squad went crazy on his Death Company haha. I think I will try some more things. Not change the list too much, but bigger upgrades on guys and such. I might decide to field a Land Raider instead of a LRC and then put 9 initiates then my Emperor's Champion. I might want it to add more anti tank. Having 2 more TL lascannons really help. I'll playtest it more!
