I'm new to this game and my brother is making a 2000pts ork army with 40 shoota boys, 16 nob bikers, a couple HQ, some lootas,
I don't know what to do? help.

What codex are you using? What models do you have available? If you are looking to buy more stuff to fill out your army, what kind of budget do you have?

My basic advice is get some heavy bolters, predator tanks, and typhoon land speeders. Flamers are also a good thing vs. orks.

Anything with a flamer weapon would be useful, in fact double Land Raider Redeemer's would be cool; Orks struggle with av14 and they do not like flamer weaponry.

Throw Hammernators (Assault Terminators with hammers) into the Land Raiders and you've got a hard hitting force.

Add some Thunderfire cannons, Orks do not like stuff which denies cover save.

The one from september 2009, but i can get a more recent one if there is. I have 30 SM's, 5 Assult SM's, 1 Dreadnaught, 1 Predetor, 5 Terminators, 1 rhino, 5 honor guard, 5 scouts and Marneus Augustus Calgar. Not a very high budget though.

Thunderfire cannons are pretty cheap, and good vs masses of infantry.

His ork list sounds pretty good, I have to say.

I would bring Telion and snipers to try to get rid of their nobs.
They'll be pretty good at making lootas roll for pinning and hopefully moral as well.
Then vindicators make light work of nob bikers.

Maybe captain Tycho as an ally join to something like 10 shooty termies with 2 CMLs, or dev. squad with 4 heavy bolters or something like that.

Thunderfire cannons will be great against all that infantry, then they also can do the difficult ground to the bikers which would kill a good number.
