Subject: Newbie question on Reset

So one of the guys at our store started playing Nomads and their lovely hackers... The question came up when a hacker Immobilizes an Heavy Infantry do you need a hacker to perform the reset?
The wording/grammar of the rule is a bit wonky and just want to be 100% sure. My assumption is that a hacker must do it.
Thanks for the help!
Second question on this train of thought: If a reset is being done and the enemy hacker is within the Zone of Control but does not have Line of Fire can the enemy ARO the Reset?

1) No, the reset is performed by the HI/REM/TAG, no hacker is required. 2) Yes, a hacker can ARO against the Reset of any model within hacking range. No LoF required - just within the ZoC of a hacker or repeater.

Wait...
So, during MY TURN, i successfully hack a TAG/REM/HI within ZoC
During OPPONENTS TURN, the affected model 'resets' during activation of an order being spent on it
However, because it's within my ZoC, i am able to ARO it using a hack and shut it down for their player turn as well?
If so..
oh the possibilities...

Awesome... that makes me breathe a little easier! But only just a little. Thanks for the help.
Snow: I think if a HI/REM/TAG resets the ARO will be to counter the affect but the end result will be that HI/REM/TAG would have to spend another order to attempt to Reset. Which of course would suck indeed! I think I am disliking Nomads a lot!

@snowman40K: The answer to that one, as shintaibane says, is "not quite".
Your hacker's ARO can attempt to cancel the Reset, but if the active miniature fails to win the FtF roll, it may still attempt to Reset again with subsequent orders.
If you're looking for a trick with hacking, it's really to set things up so you can hack your opponent on his active turn - you get it as a free ARO (particularly nasty if a force has multiple hackers, as they all count as repeaters and thus extensions of each other's hacking ZoC), can't be opposed by defensive hacking (you can't ARO an ARO) and Reset cannot be attempted until the model's next active turn (and it must thus remain immobile for the rest of its active turn and then through your active turn).
Of course, the risk with that is buying hackers, repeaters and such like mad... then finding out that you're against Ariadna.
