with all of the 6th edition rules now in effect, I am wondering what the best load out for a unit of Nob Bikers is?

also, is it even worth including a Pain Boy int he Unit for Cybork ??

FNP may have been changed from a 4+ to a 5+
But that's still 1/3 of the time better than not. If your running three bikers in a squad it's not worth it, anything more than that then he's a staple of the squad

Especially since FNP works on EVERYTHING now, barring ID wounds (S10 railgun shotsVindicator rounds for bikers, pretty much)

Definitely worth it.

Circle Oroboros - 300 Pts or so

i thnk they are even mroe important than in 5th.. you get a 5+ cybork and a 5+ fnp against str 8 on nob bikers.

or when a str 8 monstrous creature attack you get no armor save so it'd deal an instant wound instead of a decent chance of ignoring it

I would skip it, if you could get cybork otherwise, but I'm not skipping on an invul save for 45-90 point models. If you make just a single successful 5++ save on a sacrificial nob, you painboy has already made up his investment. FNP is pretty much a bonus now, you can no longer rely on it.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.

If you're already committing to spending the points on Nob Bikers, you might as well go the full mile and give them a Painboy, with Cybork Bodies for everybody. Maybe you can't rely on it as your saving grace. . .but you have a 4+ armor and a 4+ cover from being on a warbike. For everything else that managed to get through those two, you then still have a 5+ invulnerable AND a 5+ Feel No Pain. I certainly think it's worth 80pts to give a full unit of bikers those bonuses.

Exactly, providing the full equipment to your Nobs is a good investment.

Yes, definitely bring them. Also make sure they are scoring, if you spend that many points you need to make as much use of possible out of them.

Nob bikers were hard to kill before apart from against grey knights which just eat them so it remains, apart from premeasuring and variable assault range means you can better avoid cc with grey knights
