This post is a little long but I think it is a good list and I would love it if you give it a couple minutes of reading.
There are current 4 things to worry about on the table: shooting, assault (watch out for challenge), psychic and flyers.
So I present to you a double-FOC, double-ally list @ 2000 points that would smash face.

The list
Space Wolf 2x Detachment
Wolf Priest - Runic Armour - Bolt Pistol
Wolf Priest - Power Armour - Bolt Pistol

GH 5-man with flamer (Manning Quad-gun 1)
GH 5-man with flamer (Capture objective on back ruin)
GH 10-man MotW, WS, Plasmagun, Plasmagun (tag with WP for re-roll 1s goodness)
GH 10-man MotW, WS, Meltagun, Meltagun (tag with WP for re-roll 1s goodness)

Long Fang - 5x Missiles (On Aegis Defense Line)
Long Fang - 5x Missiles (On a back ruin)

Aegis Defense Line - Quadgun
Imperial Bastion - Quadgun

Ally Detachment 1: (Psychic defense to the max)
Farseer with RoW - Guide (constantly casting Guide on rangers)
5-man Rangers (inside bastion)

Ally Detachment 2: (Anti-toughness, anti-challenge)
Lysander (fortify objective ruins + stay with Sternguard to be super annoying with re-roll hellfire rounds + smash face)
10-man Sternguards (4x combi-melta + powerfist)
Scout snipers (on Battlement of the Bastion)

Strategy:
Terrain:
Put the Bastion right in the middle of the board. Put the Aegis Defense Line on the edge of deployment zone. Put objective in ruin in the back. Fortify this ruin.

Deployment
- Farseer + Rangers infiltrate into the Bastion in the middle of the board.
- Scout infiltrate to the top of the Bastion
- Main GH squads + 1 LF deploy to Aegis Defense Line

Main points
- I have shut down psychic on the entire board. (This means Eldar, GK, Tyranids, some wolf builds are handicapped)
- My Bastion is in the middle so all Heavy bolters are now active shooting
- My Bastion count against the terrain deployment of my enemy thus 1) guarantee clear LOS for my quadgun on the Aegis 2) Capture important ground allowing me to win secondary objective at the last turn by moving all my units 6" to the enemy side. Plus, against parking lot, even my heavy bolter will now firing non-stop.
- I have Lysander (which is better than Arjac) that can take on challenges (Draigo, MCs, TWC lords, ... you name it). His squad of hellfire rounds sternguard will kill one 4W (3+ save) MC every single turn at rapid fire range (and cause 2.3 W at further ranges).
- I have very very good anti-flyer. Two quad-gun shooting the second they come in is nothing to sneeze at.
- I have 6 troop choices, plenty for objective.

I hope to hear some comments from you regarding what else I might be missing.

Only one problem. You cannot have two different armies for your allies. The books states that the force used for your second set of allies must be the same as the first set.

Someone once told me this about Porsche Panameras:
"There are two Panamera's in my hood. Visual pepper spray. When Jesus was on the cross and cried out "Father, why have you forsaken me?" it wasn't because of the whole crucifixion, it was because he foresaw the design of the Porsche Panamera."
You learn something new everyday.

So much for all my writing. :( Thanks Gifblaur.

What do you think I should do?
- Keep the Psychic defense and try getting Challenge and MC counter some other way
- Drop the Psychic defense and try taking RP in my list to fill that role

You can't take two different allies (see p.110).

Whilst the psychic defence is impressive, when the bastion is wrecked, your farseer could well be easy meat (especially for mindstrikes), and to be honest the Rune Priests' 4+ denial is still pretty good.. The farseer might be better behind the Aegis with the long fangs deployed in the bastion (though I really think bastions are death traps if the enemy's got much melta, or even just a bit of TL flying melta (though granted the quad guns might take care of that problem -- mind you, they're vulnerable to long range high S fire, or at least the one behind the Aegis is.

It's a decent enough list (bar the illegal two allied codices) but I'm not certain it'll smash all comers.

Not necessarily by any means, though it may reduce the chance a bit depending on who picks first and the density of terrain in your half (you don't have to fill each sector in turn when placing terrain).

Follow these two simple rules to ensure a happy Dakka experience:

Rule 1 - to be a proper 40K player you must cry whenever a new edition of the game is released, and always call opposing armies broken when you don't win.

Rule 2 - Games Workshop are always wrong and have been heading for bankrupcy within 5 years since the early 90s.

Take Njal for one hq choice and one or two rune priests for the other. You'll have a huge psykic presence and the ability to shut powers down on a 3+ or 4+.

@stewy37: I tried that several times already. Almost 500 points just for psychic which is promptly shutdown and slaughtered by Nids, GK, and Eldar.

Two Rune Priests are 100 apiece plus 5-10 points for wargear to differentiate them. And then you put them in a transport to protect them. I only suggested Njal because you said you wanted max psychic defense. And these are still more durable than a farseer and rangers as they should be in a transport or footslogging in a solid unit. Since you have to choose which ally you want, you have to make a decision. Do you want squishy eldar psychic defense or the increased firepower and defense of sternguard and Lysander? If you want the second option and still want psychic defense, you need a rune priest or two.
