Subject: Necron Troops, what do you run?

So, I have been curious how you Necron players like to use the troops slots in this new edition, and what has worked best for you in actual games.
I'm still a fan of the gun-boat, GA with 2 lances inside. Now, however, I fill up on all 8 warriors, so hopping out of the boat to score is more survivable.
The NS is phenomenal now, and I run a couple of those as well. However, I have been torn on Gauss immortals, or Warriors. Either one goes with a HoS, maybe 2, still need to do more playtesting.
Given that the unit is meant to destroy high AV, or deeply nested artillery, Gauss is definitely the way to go, and unless I can get an AV 10 facing, the warriors will do the same job more efficiently, with volume of fire. However, The secondary function is to score, which makes the survivability more desirable. So, the question is, would, say, 7(+Cryptek) models with 3+/5++ be better off than 9(+Cryptek) 4+/5++?
Then, what role do you guys give Tesla Immortals, nowadays?

i still prefer Tesla Immortals for fighting MEQ troops, which my local meta has plenty of. it may be pure bountiful luck, but i've always rolled enough 6's to at least get one hit per model in the squad!
also, i only run one ten-man Warrior squad, with Zahndrekh or a Court Lord to give them 4+ RP. i'm in the process of building a GA, so they'll eventually drop down to at least nine.
Necrons have so much anti-tank that i don't feel like i need a lot of Gauss in my troop slots, but that's just what works for me. i also have, like, 80 Warriors, and after their stint as my ONLY troop choice i barely want to look at them anymore.

I run a lot of 10 man warrior units on foot. I tend to compliment them with a lot of assault units as well such as 2 squads of scarabs and a units of wraiths with a Dlord. They are cheaper and with the increased target priority the wraith unit and scarabs draw I don't miss the +3 armor of the Immortals. I also like the 10 man units as they stand up decently to shooting and if I get assaulted they rarely last more than 1 round so the rest of my army gets to fire into the enemy assault unit. I'm still experimenting with crypteks though now that vehicles are sightly less abundant (In my meta at least) I feel lees restricted to lances.

Right now I have a 2000pt list that has two 8 man warrior units plus a OL/WS/MSS/weave/orb, a pulsetek and a vieltek. Those two units do their best to hold down the fort and camp on objectives. I have two other 5 man warrior units with two stormteks that ride in scythes in search of expensive vehicles to destroy. Normally I expect these units to be annihilated as soon as they've completed their mission. I'm also running three doomsday scythes and a 19 ork boy + big mek/KFF/PK as an ally. I've only played two games with this setup but so far I have a 75% survival rate on the warriors. I like them because they're cheap and scare vehicles but mostly because they're cheap and you can get them in large quantities.

My Meta is pretty much MEQ with a lot of vehicles so I tend to run more Gauss Immortals with Destructeks. At 1000pts I run 2 squad of 7 immortals, and 1 of 9 warriors to camp on objectives. Add some Heavy Destroyers and I'm pretty much good.

I run a troop slot for every 500 pt per list.
I have 28 warriors and 10 immortals.
Depending on the list I usually run at least 10 man warrior, 10 man immortal and typically a 6 man warrior w/ Veiltek in reserve for taking objectives.
if i run a triarch stalker I'll go with a 20 man warrior blob.
2 squads of 10 man warriors with a ghost ark in between (w/ warrior/ destoryertek combos) is fun also.
Usually the troop choices i pick will be built around other choices like a C'tan the aforementioned Stalker, or ark choices
Depending on the army i am fighting I usually determins what immortals weaponry i use. For all comers I go Telsa.

I'm tempted to do a mix of tesla immortals on foot and warriors in arks.

My Staple thus far in my Imol list has been 15 warriors on the ground with Imo and a Chronotek and 2 groups of 5 in Scythes, no crypteks (at 2000). So far it's been just about prefect.

Numberless Necron Warrior

It really depends on what I feel like playing that day. 10 man squads of warriors in ghost arks are always a good time. 5 man squads can be good harassers. I find that more than 10 warriors in a squad will very easily get destroyed because they are to hard to hide or they take high causalities in the assault and get swept. Also to large of squads end up with dead warriors if you teleport them through the monolith
My favorite troop is my 10 man squad of immortals with guass blasters they can pretty much take on anything and if you add a lord in there for challenges and res orb they are really good. Tesla immortals kinda lost their appeal to me after you could move and shoot 24 with rapid fire in 6th.

The Monolith part isn't true anymore in 6th, and I find large squads quite capable in assault if properly supported.

I run Warriors, lots of them. usually at least 40 in any list larger than 1000 pts.
In larger games, I'll mix in some immortals.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.
