Hey all,

Had a few ideas floating around for a while, and finally decided to attempt to tackle writing a short story. Here is the intro/opening section. Would be grateful to hear your thoughts, I know it's rather short, but I figure it's enough to tell if people get "hooked/interested" by it.

So here we go.

"What follows herein is held by many to be, at best, the fanciful tale of a unstable old man, and at worst, the heretical ravings of a dangerous apostate.
I'm not so bold as to dispute either of those notions, as from your point of view, everything they have told you about me is true. I am no longer seen to bend knee to the corpse you deify upon a throne of gilded suffering.
To them, I am rogue, a law unto myself and those I deem unworthy.

If you cannot abide to read such an account by one so damned as I, then you may erase my words without remorse, and take solace in the knowledge that I am an anathema to you and your beloved Imperium.
However — should you be of inquisitive mind — what follows is my truth.

I was once like you, full of piss and vinegar, with an insatiable lust to set the galaxy to rights. I razed cities, burned idolators and exposed conspiracy.
That was long ago and nearly three centuries have passed since those halcyon days. My eyes have been opened, they have seen lies in the bright lights of stars and truth in the impenetrable void between.
