This is all off of memory, but I want to try it out tonight. I just dont have my list on me.
Marshal, storm bolter, PW (LD10)
Chaplin with LC
10x command squad
2 meltas
2 PW(one on the SGT, and the other on the fighting Co Camp)
EC w/ AAC
Techmarine, full servo harness
3- 9 man crusader squads in drop pods, PF/melta
1- 10 man pod, PW plasma
LRC:
Chappy in termie armor, and LC
5 CC terminators, 3 LC, 2 TH/SS
The idea is to start out with just the LRC on the table, it has smoke if i need it. And the techmarine, EC, chaplin (in the command squad) will all be attached to the 9 man drop pods.
Just a random fun list I thought about running... Thoughts? Just a pure assault list to mess with the enemy.

Too many HQ's (in fact, too many to be a legal list), not enough drop pods, and nowhere near enough anti-tank, if you ask me. I would try to make it to 7 pods so you can drop 4 on the first turn. Also, tank hunting tac termies are amazing - I highly recommend them.

He has 2 HQ, the LC chaplain and the marshal. The emperor's champion doesn't count towards your force org chart, he is a compulsory unit that counts as an hq but does not take a slot. If BT are like other marines, the techmarine should be an elite.
5 meltas, 3 PF, a multi-melta, and 2 TH should be able to hurt tanks.

The Command squad lets me take a Marshal, and then the option to take a chaplain as well, all counting as one HQ choice. Since he is a IC, I can detach him and use him in a drop pod. Then yes, the EC is not a HQ, and the other HQ is in the LRC. So I do have 3 HQ's, but the command squad counts as one.
I do not have a lot of shooty anti-tank, but I was hoping to make up for that in my melta/ PF combos. I dont have enough troops either to do more drop pods, unless I take 5 initiates, and 4 neoyphtes, then add the IC in to them... thats always an option. But I want somethign big onthe board so I have something lasting after each game turn. Because if you do not have any units on the boad at the end of a game turn, you lose. thats the only reason I took the LRC.

You have deadlier units to fit in drop pods.
Have weak scoring drop pods for 2nd turn onwards then deadly ones for 1st turn.
Like a command squad termies with 2 assault cannons, or a dread, or a command squad with 2 meltas.
A single land raider will die too quickly with not much mech on the board.
You however do with loads of typhoons or CMLs to give covering fire to your drop pods.
