Barring split/quartered schemes, pretty much all marines are equal, if you can find the right colored spray paint. This assumes, though, that you'd be painting each to a similar standard. You can, however, play off of expectations - most folks don't bother with more than grey edgelining (if that, even) on a Black Templar, so the bar is set lower, meaning they're "easier" to paint to any given "level" of quality. Metallic schemes with a spray>wash>drybrush are probably the best bang for your buck, though, as very few people ever put more effort than that into their metallics.

Voted Salamanders. Blue and green is very easy to paint since they're strong colours and are easy to highlight and shade.

Crimson fists is the second easiest.

I don't understand why so many voted Black Templars. Black is hard to get right.

Babies, chum: tiny, dimpled, fleshy mirrors of our us-ness, that we parents hurl into the future, like leathery footballs of hope. See my prior post - it's hard to paint a great black, but a basic black is dead easy. For the vast majority of BT painters out there, the bulk of any given model's paintjob comes in a can. Hell, so many people prime black, anyway, that most don't even need to buy a new color.

This is pretty much my reasoning. I've always found green quite easy to paint whereas black has always been a pain...

Tbh most space marines are about the same. Space marine highlighting work is the same across all chapters because the models look the same and most colors don't require drastically different techniques. That said, I voted blood angels because I find that red is the easiest color to cheat with. Black templars are absolutely not the easiest because screwups are extremely prominent on black

I voted for my primogenitor chapter but I would think any solid single basic colour wthout too much detail like shoulder pad edging etc would be the easiest.

Which would be pretty much all of the chapters. Although according to what I have read in the Codex, if you are doing the Ultramarines perfectly, you need a diferent shoulder pad edge colour for each company.

Very true. Most people seem to have developed a black phobia, to the point were they never even bother to attempt painting it.

Nah, black's easy, providing you can do a simple glaze. Grey highlights, then glaze each of them back. Quick and simple. I voted Raven Guard because you don't need to do the white shoulder pads, just apply a decal.

Iron Hands are the easiest. Since silver covers better than the red Raven Guard has.

However the easy way is not always the best way. Pick the chapter you like the look of the most. Endure the initial hardship and it'll pay off eventually with a force you like the look of and with the pride of being able to do what you didn't think you could.
