Super simple I am sure, but Im not convinced. When a weapon destroyed result occurs, the weapon is chosen "randomly". How is it chose randomly? Does the shooter simply pick OR for example: on a d6 roll of 1-4, weapon X is destroyed and on a roll of 5-6, weapon Y is destroyed.

randomly means randomly

Count up how many weapons the vehicle has, then roll a D6 (or 2d6 for stoopidly overweaponed ones, i guess..)

For example, my battlewagon has 5. 4 big shootas, and a zzappgun.

Assign them a number (1 is this one, 2 is this one...5 is zzap, 6 is roll again. ) Then roll.

Most vehicles have 3 or less, which makes it easier.

1-2 this gun, 3-4 this one, 5-6 this one etc

The shooter no longer gets to pick.

Just see how many weapons the vehicle has ( for example eldar falcon has 3) Then choose 1-2 for the first weapon, 3-4 for the second and 5-6 for the third and roll a D6. If there are 2 weapons divide 1-3 and 4-6, if four then first split weapons and roll 1-3 for two of them and 4-6 for the two others, and then roll again 1-3 for the first and 4-6 for the second.

Here's an example: Space marine predator with twin LC turret, heavy bolter sponsons and pintle mounted stormbolter. It takes a weapon destroyed result so it must lose one weapon randomly. First the TL LC and storm bolter are chosen as 1-3 and the two heavy bolter sponsons as 4-6. The player rolls a 2 so TL LC and SB are chosen. Then the player chooses again that SB is 1-3 and TL LC is 4-6 and rolls a 3. So the weapon that gets destroyed is the SB.

Simple enough.

You could also do, storm bolter, LC turret, left HB and right HB as numbers 1-4 with a re-roll on a 5 and 6.

It's not the size of the blade, it's how you use it.

This is very Close.

If you have 6 or less weapons; Simply number them 1-whatever. If Whatever is less than 6 than any value higher than whatever is rolled again until a valid value comes up. [i]Example: I have a Leman Russ executioner with 2 Plasma sponsons and a pintle stubber( weapons including the turret gun and Hull mounted Heavy Bolter); A roll of 6 would need to roll again, which would keep getting rolled for until not a 6 was rolled.

If you have more than 6; Split them into as few even groups of 1-6 as you can, then assign those groups the 1-6 as above and roll as for a single group above. When you have determined which group is rolled for, then you get to roll for the weapon in that group.

All this is on page 5 of the BRB under the heading: "Randomising" (British spelling kept for technical accuracy).

LOL, i first typed that option for four weapons, but then decided that rerolling is stopid and went the other way. In any case randomization can be done in many ways so just see the choises are as even as possible. With 5 weapons you need to reroll some result. With 7 you have to split the weapons 3 to 4 and then roll again.

Your last 2 sentences are correct, the methods for each are on page 5.

Well I am American, and thus while the Correct Spelling of my Nationality is Technically "American" everywhere else; In large swathes of the USA the proper/correct spelling is: 'MERICAN.

For technical accuracy in those areas the letters must be in all caps and the word pronounced as a Short ,yet forceful, shout.

Also in American English "Randomising" is spelled(or Spelt, your choice) Randomizing; we like using "z's" you see.
