Hello People, I was wondering if all the BattleForces of 40k were around the same points value. Please answer!

Nope.

The ork one swings in around 300 pts depending on how you kit things out. The IG one can vary from a valid 330 pt list all the way to a single platoon at 555 pts. Space marines has about 555 but can easily do more depending on wargear/units selected.

I don't another codex, so that's all I can do.

I am sure i read somewhere that you can get a battle force worth 1,500 points.

Not sure what website that was on though!

Maybe they were writing about the megaforces that come out every winter.

May I suggest reading replies before posting. A mega force of SM would definitly give alot of points, I dont have my codex with me at the moment so Im not sure how many points thou

Typically released just in time for christmas. Buy them immediately from the website or you don't get one. Sorta like the gamers edition of 6th.

I think the Chaos one can make between a 1000 and 1500 pt list. Unit of Berzerkers with Rhino and 3 plasma pistols, 5 chosen with combi-meltas, 10 regulars with plasma gun and heavy bolter, plus power fist and Icon of Nurgle, 2 lords (made from possessed) and add the other 3 possessed in as Champions. Should be pretty close to 1000. Competitive? Nah, not really. But the 2 HQs will run you anywhere from 90 bare-bones to 200, depending on wargear (wings from possessed, daemon weapon, combi-plasma, meltabombs). That gives you 400pts in HQ, 2 5-man squads of CSM with plasmas dropping in at 175pts each if decked to the max (plasma, fist, Nurgle, bombs and second plasma if doable), chosen with combi's (easy to make, especially melta) and berzerkers. It's a box set that gives you an amazing point value to start. Think about it. Plus...new book soon. And all the stuff in the box will be usable (Berzerkers may be better as Khorne CSM).

Necron Battle Force 520 points
Warrios x20 = 260
Immortals x5= 85
Ghost Ark = 115
Scarabs x4= 60

DE box is a little under 500pt, but you get to use all your models from the box. What with reavers defensive buffs in 6th ed, that box does save you a lot for what you get.

10 Warriors w/Sybarite (plus say 10pts of gear) -110pts
10 Wyches w/Hekatrix (plus say 10pts of gear plus say 20 points in upgrades for the unit) - 140pts
Raider w/Nightshield and Splinter Racks - 80pts
3 Reavers w/Heat Lance - 78pts

Approx Total: 408pts (assuming you don't go crazy on the wargear options)

But you definately can use everything, some battle forces come with models/units that aren't very desirable or useful.

It also works out to giving you $160 worth of models for $130, so you basically get the Reavers free.

The Ravenwing battleforce makes a full ravenwing attack squadron which, without special weapons (the battleforce doesn't include them anyway) comes to 370 points.
