Subject: C:SW - Chooser of the slain and shooting flyers
I was wondering if the Chooser of the slain's +1 to BS works when using a shooting attack against a flyer (with living lightening)
the rule states "should the Rune Priest make a shooting attack at a target that has line of sight to the chooser marker, he may treat his BS as one higher than normal"
The pertinent rules for shooting Flyers
Hard to hit (p. 81)
"Shots resolved at a Zooming Flyer can only be resolved as Snap Shots"
Snap Shots (P. 13)
"If a model is forced to make Snap Shots rather than shoot normally, then its Ballistic Skill is counted as being 1 for the purpose of those shots"
So when a Rune Priest targets a zooming flyer that is in LoS with the Chooser of the Slain model it has a BS of 1 (for Snap Shots) + 1 (for the chooser model) so will hit on a 5 or higher. So with an increased BS of 2. (instead of hitting on a 6)
Am I reading/understanding this ruling correctly?
