We finished the game. The two bashers with ossrum and thor are scary fast. On turn two, I energized, feat, and drove: Pronto the bashers into position. One basher slammed the side of the repenter through his entire zealot squad, then flak field to kill a knight exemplar. The other basher had tune up damage and slammed the reckoner through the entire choir and the heirophant AND Vilmon (although he saved vilmon with the harby) before beating on it a few times. They do not hit hard enough at POW15. The repenter took some solid damage from the slam, but the reckoner only lost it's melee weapon and one other column to a fully boosted and supported basher.
The bashers got beat on pretty hard after that turn, although the one that slammed the repenter and the knights did survive to kill two more knights before he finished it off. At that point however, my forgeguard were pretty much on top of him and herne and jonne were dumping fire for effect AOEs all over his units. He had to save vilmon and the reclaimer solo about seven times, at which point he had to let them go due to having only 3 health left on the harby. ossrum was completely unharmed by the end, as were herne and jonne and thor. The forgeguard lost three members. Automatically Appended Next Post: Stranglehold is a very nice spell as ossrum's only offensive spell. Casting it on vilmon effectively locks him down all game, which is nice because I have no magical attacks besides ossrum's axe to kill vilmon with.
