We play with plenty of terrain. Usually at least 2 or 3 dilapidated bunkers, and then another couple ruins a cave a river and so on, plus we sometimes buy our own terrain. Well we setup our board today and my buddy tossed one of his dilapidated bunkers on the side of the river where he had nice line of site to the bridge with plasma ig vets. Well I decided to shoot my lootas at the building. AV12 since dilapidated. They got 30 shots and I had the mega boss manning a quad gun in their aegis. I did 3 glances and 2 penetrates. None of the penetrates destroyed the building however I did score a 3 and 4 on the pen chart. The end result was the entire vet squad died and the building still stood.
3 auto wounds from the glances
2 auto wounds from the pens
5 S6 hits from the first pen
8 S6 hits from the second pen
16 wounds when all rolls were done and they only manged to muster up 4 saves.
He was a bit disappointed that his plasma vets died because I had a battlewagon of MegaNobs rolling across the bridge just 8 inches away.

if you are gonna try to be a smart ass at least get the numbers right. 15 lootas (225) and a mega boss on a quad gun that costs 50 for the aegis and 50 for the gun so 100.

I missed the Loota reference and read 30 shots and assumed 30 boys, and I pulled the quad gun number off the top of my head, since I don't have a rulebook in front of me.
Why don't you try posting the point cost of the veteran squad ?
I'm going to make the follwoing wild assumptions:
1.) The veteran squad cost significantly less than 325 points
2.) The armor value of the veterens was 5, or 6+, and would have been torn to shreds by the AP of the Loota and Quadguns if they weren't in any cover.
3.) You avoided answering the question because you know I'm right.

I think they were demo vets so 145. The point is buildings have changed significantly from 5th. It is much deadlier to be inside one now.

Things die more in 6th edition. At least you get saves against these hits. They could have made them ignore armor.

If you want real fun with buildings as deathtraps, let a unit with grenades charge a building or try taking cover on the parapets. Try making exciting sound effects as your Guardsmen dive off the roof of a building when they fail morale.
