I'm interested in building an Ork biker list, but wouldn't bike squads of three be far too fragile to do much?

But 3 is more manouverable than 12. 12 isn't as fragile, but it's a pain to move.

Well true, but there's a happy medium between minimum and maximum. Frankly, I wouldn't be afraid of a bunch of three man squads with my IG. Fewer larger squads would likely do more damage, but that's just me. I'm curious what others have to think.

I think the list might be a bit more survivable and still follow your theme if you did something like the following which I believe comes out to 1500 points:

HQ:
Wazdakka Gutsmek

Troops:
4x Warbiker Mobz each w/5x Warbikers, w/Biker Nob; Power Klaw

19x Shoota Boyz w/Boyz Nob; Bosspole; Slugga; Power Klaw

Heavy Support:
Battlewagon, Deff Rolla; Big Shoota x4; Kannon

Fast Attack:
3x Deffkoptas, Twin Linked Rokkit Launcha x3;

I do not think battlewagons fit with bikers, especially having just one.
Dakkajets might do but not just one.

I would look into having a warboss on a bike to join the deff koptas, with a bosspole and maybe more koptas.

Then some nob bikers, as they are great right now.

If you want jets I would want 3, as interceptor guns will down 1 far too readily.
