I was pointed to this link by an eldar playing friend tonight as an excuse for trying to make his seer council on bikes t5.
My take is a T3 model on a bike is T4, and no amount of rules lawyering will make me allow you to make your T3 model T5.

What is the opinion here?

by strict RAW yes, you can claim both bonuses, and in fact, the post is incorrect in saying Guardian Jetbikes would only be T4, we are told the inherent jetbike bonus is already factored into their T4 profile, but not the Eldar Jetbike +1 toughness, meaning you add a further +1 to their T4.

Note too that the post claims Shining Spears aren't Eldar Jetbikes, when in fact they are per the Index of the core rule book, they just aren't equipped with that piece of wargear.

Of course I would say you are well within your right to rules lawyer anyone who tries to play this way, it's a huge case of easter egg hunting given the rules haven't functionally changed since last edition, where both toughness bonuses still stood.

The bikes are T4, anyone trying to claim otherwise is grasping at straws.

Of course they are T4... You can try to say something else but you will be labeled as TFG WAAC forever... And it's not that pleasant...
