I'm thinking of getting into a ravenwing (purely ravenwing) army for a) the low model count and b) they are cool. My question is, under the new rules, is sammael better on his jetbike or on his land speeder? I'm leaning towards land speeder, if he's moving that is a 5+ save on a (mostly) AV14 vehicle which can pump out a decent amount of fire at a (considering the alterations to vehicles) moderate amount of targets. What do you guys think?

Or is the jetbike better, considering its small profile, would it be good for hiding and pouncing on small units with his plasma cannon and sword? Or is it just outclassed by his landspeeder?

Rule of cool for me says the Speeder. It is one of the most unique units in all of 40k.

I thought the speeder was slightly over rated last edition, probably better than jetbike but not by much.

Now I would still say the speeder due to jink but it is a very tight call. Hull points do not last long and the av10 back is not so hard to hit, then hitting the speeder in cc is quite deadly.

Surely as the last stc jetbike in existence, that is quite cool.

I'll add my two cents as a long time ravenwing player. The jetbike is nearly worthless. Yes he has a plasma cannon, but its only a single shot, and he has little to speak of in close combat capability. Nowhere near the worth of his 205 price tag. The Speeder on the other hand brings alot to your army. his armour 14 can suck up alot of long range fire. Shots which would anihillate the rest of your army. And his twin linked assault cannon and heavy bolter at BS5 are pretty much guaranteeing you 7 hits a turn. Its nasty on vehicles and infantry.

I would say speeder. Also keep in mind a new DA codex is coming out in the next few months.
