I am working on a crazy new conversion project - a NECRON SUPER HEAVY tank! I thought that it'd be best to make it roughly the size/profile of a Baneblade, but I have only a general idea of what that size is.

Can anyone with a Baneblade give me the rough measurements? Length/width/height, preferably in metric (centimeters/millimeters)?

Any assistance would be tremendously appreciated! Thanks fellow Dakkanauts!

PS: when working on concept sketches, I realized that the dimensions of some of those Eldar super heavy tanks might also serve as good guidelines/reference points for me. If anyone has an Eldar Scorpion, Cobra, Lynx, or the like, and oils provide measurements, that'd be great too!

measuring my own tank.

the track base is 9 inchs long (give or take)with the hull hieght at 2 1/2 inchs high, and the hull 5 1/2 wide.

the total hieght of the Standard baneblade (with the upper super structure and turret) is about 4 inchs high.

As for a necron super heavy tank i would imagine a veriant of the floating building they have (the name suddenly escapes me) would make sense. that or a giant spider like mahine akin to the Stalker only really big.

edit: the closest measurng device on hand was only in inchs sorry. i can't find a metric ruler

Thanks a million! That was fast - and it looks like those dimensions are roughly what I was already working with. I won't reveal my precise design/idea until I can make a proper P&M thread initial thread, but suffice it to say that my design should both harmonize with the existing range with simeltaneously being similar in size/dimensions to a Baneblade/other super heavy tanks.

If there are any Eldar players with Forgeworld super heavy tanks who could post rough dimensions of those tanks, I'd still be very interested in knowing that info as well

Thanks again!

WHen you get the design down. i wanna see it. It sounds neat.

I woudl imagine a super heavy "tank" for the necrons would be a super sized Spider tank (stalker tank).

Or soome giant egyption Cenetpede robot with lots of guns. (but the baneblade is too short for such an idea)
