i tried to do a list but after playing igres and empire for so long its abit difficukt getting my head round it.

id also prefer a khorne onky army...

but that just made it more difficult.

anyway. what would be the best list YOU could design and will it be competative?

Level 4: Disc, Charmed Shield, MoT, 4+ ward talisman

Level 2: Death, Dispel Scroll

Exalted Hero BSB: Favour of the gods, Crown of Command, Pony

18 Warriors: MoT, HW+S, standard and musician

18 Warriors: MoN, Halberds, Banner of Rage, Standard and musician

9 Knights: MoT, Standard and musician, Ensorcelled weapons

Working from memory, that was about 2.4k points? I wanted to run it but decided not to after someone else did. I know you want a khorne only army but you also said competitive.
The main plan with this list is to use both warshrines on the knights in the hope that you roll an 11 as soon as possible to get stubborn and a 3+ ward save.

and why would pure khorne not be competative?

Khorne is not competitive IMO due to the fact that everybody takes a level 4. The +4 to dispel can be useful as well as the ability to carry items such as a dispel scroll. And yes, chaos armies aren't that big unless you want to buy units of 50 marauders.

Khorne can be competitive the only spells you will have issues with are the ones that are attributes but then again you're going to have a ton of magic resistance. All you need to do its close the gap between you and the enemy. Try it out its better than it looks on paper.

If a khornate army comes into contact with a spell like gateway or the 13th all the magic resistance in the world won't help.
