Ok so say I have a squad that consists of The Swarmlord (T6), 1 Tyrant Guard (T6) and the Parasite of Mortrex (T4) then the toughness against attacks is 6 the commonest numerical value.

Ok lets say the swarmlord has iron arm and boosts himself to T9 does this mean that all attacks vs the unit are resolved at T9 or am I missing something?

Yep, as per page 14 when you have multiple T values, use the majority value if there is one - plurality to Americans

In a change to 5th if there is a tie for toughness values you use the highest of the T values that are tied, not just the highest

So in your example if you had 2 T6 1T9 and 2T4 in 5th edition the unit would have been T9, in 6th it would be T6 [no majority, highest of tied values]

Thinking that'd be kinda stretching things but I guess it would be legal, just don't expect people to like it lol. He's asking if the power making him T9 changes things as there is no tie and no majority, only 3 models.

There is a tie - all 3 models are tied. You have a tied of 1 model for each of T4, 6 and 9, meaning you take the highest value of the tied values as the toughness.

Thats what I was getting at lol. T9 for the wounds, sucks but its valid.

However i dont think iron arm is a primaris, meaning you cant g'tee getting it...

So if one was T9 and two were T4, you'd use T4. But make one of the T4s a T3 and suddenl it's T9. That's pretty funny

Unnessesarily extravegant word of the week award goes to jcress410 for this:

However the number of units that can truly exploit this are low - and it is lower than it was in 5th, given the value is now the tied value, not just the highest.
