So, I have some issue with the Crypt Horror models (giant ghouls= meh) In addition, I think they are a bit over priced. My solution? Use Wolfen from Confrontation as werewolves that count as Crypt Horrors.
My question and why I post this in you make da call, is would you take issue playing against this?

Are they roughly the same size, to within a few percent in all important dimensions (width and height)? On the same base? Are they clearly distinguishable from other units in the army?

If you answer "Yes" to these, then most players wont have an issue. If youre going to a tournament, ask the organiser ahead of time, as "but dakka said so!" isnt an argument i usually accept at face.

I believe they are about the same size, the wolfen are a little more "bulky" but are on the same size base. There are no other wolflike models for them to be confused with.

I would certainly check with a TO ahead of time. I would not be using "but dakka said so!" as an argument. I would also be informing my opponent before any game. I was simply seeking a general consensus.

Count as works for me (then again I have an entirely converted empire army which is pretty much all count as though you can tell what they are if you think bout it).

As long as you have 40 mm bases and they can rank up reasonably your good IMO. Oh and as long as they look like they fit in the armys theme.

Personally I like the crypt ghoul models and I find them to be undercosted point wise.

I meant over priced monetarily not point wise, lol. With my Vampires Counts background being from Hunger Wood, I think I can easily work in werewolves hiding in the woods.

I have a friend who is doing this already, no one has had any issues with the wolfen. They seem to fit pretty well.

Just make sure you tell your opponent first "these are crypt horrors and they have XYZ characteristics." The vamp book is still new-ish and folks might be confused. However, you should really do this anyway, and I wouldn't have a problem playing against what you suggest.

Awesome! Well I just need to clean them up, prime them and get them painted.
