Hey guys, I'm gearing up for the Feast of Blades qualifier in my area, and I was hoping to get some input on this list.

Tournaments at 2k will be awful armies. You need to concentrate the list to get it perform well.

I think your main assets in the BT codex/FAQ are the CMLs and typhoons. I would concentrate on them.
Also drop pods, liking your drop pod options right now.

You can no longer assault form rhinos. So for me only raider make sense. Then you'll want at least two to get enough cc troops over.
To protect them I would load with vindicators just to dilute the enemies firepower.
SO double raider, fair few vindis. to make an assault list.

Antiflyers are now needed.

I am sure someone will at some point bring 18 typhoons with BT and win at some big tournament.

That seems to be the way it's going. I've tried dual raiders in my last several games and it doesn't seem to do a whole lot for how many points it is. I do like taking them, but for the about same cost, I can have another crusader squad.

Where are Helbrecht and the Champ going? With the current list, one of them has to walk as our LRCs only hold 15. Also, assault termies are sad without a ride. Lastly, Helbrecht is fun, but a chaplain will serve you much better with his rerolls

Emphasis on antiflyers. I have seen games where people are ill prepared to take them out and have lost them. With Halbrecht he is very good in CC however I would expect people to bring HQs like Ghazhull since now he is unstoppable. So in 2,000 points Halbrecht is a no.

I hadn't realized about the transport capacity, as all the other codexes have it listed as 16 models. I could probably walk the champion with the terminators. The reason I'm walking them is to take advantage of the CML's and to deter outflankers. I took Helbrecht because he's cheaper than the Marshal I usually run and he has the same hitting power, along with the army wide ld 10. I am somewhat worried about anti-flyer capability, but it's something that isn't too prevalent where I am. I really appreciate the advice.

Not to be redundant but ANTIFLYERS! Although the Flyers may not be big in your local Meta, when it comes to tournaments like FOB or Nova people travel so you will see them and right now they are game-changers. You also have to think that anyone who can bring them, will, and in large numbers.

I do like the idea of footslogging the Termies because the 2+ is great in 6th. Only thing they need to worry about is volume of fire. Law of Averages says enough firepower and they will die. Also agree, Drop pods and LRC's. Will do you way better than AV11

Alright, if I take out the 3rd crusader squad, the PoTMS on the vindicator, and take an initiate out of the 2nd squad, I could get a standard raider for the 2nd crusader squad and have room to take a small squad with a missile launcher and a plasma gun that can help with objectives. The champion would then be able to go with the 2nd, solving that problem.

Idk about the Rec, he'd be so much better as a Master of Sanctity.

It would be better, but I don't see 15 points to take from the list so that he can be a Master of Sanctity.

if ur gonna take a chaplin get Grim drop a feew Neo's and 1 or 2 crusaders. is the tourny going to b in 6th or 5th?

Grimaldus is , imo, too expensive to take. I personaly dont like him much, and plus... you can spec your chappy out better then Grim. I am going to start using a chaplain in termie armor, and give him LC. it looks to be a decent list. I would run it and see how it works!

It is going to be 6th, and Grimaldus is cool, but he's too many points to fit in without a lot of shuffling, for not a whole lot more benefit. The other reason I don't want to take him is that I wouldn't be able to take the Terminator Command Squad with him.

Well, I thought I'd bring this thread to a definitive end. I placed 3rd at my qualifier with the list above, in case anybody might need closure. Thank you to all who contributed.
