Hey guys, a friend of mine is making his khador list and he still really new to the game, as am I. Just thought I would have you look over his list and help me point out any glaring weaknesses...

I guess he's planning to Deathstar the Winterguard and Grigorovich while doom reavers go heavy inf/ light warjack/ light warbeast hunting while widowmakers go solo hunting and Sorscha and wardog support, with Eiryss going for assassin running and Beast 09 doing what Beast 09 does best. Thoughts? I play cyrx and also play with a ton of small bases and already warned him about getting trample, but with the UA and Ironflesh on the Winterguard their DEF is going to be a whopping 17!

Thats a super tough Khador list. Only real weakness would be AOE that dont have to worry about hitting to damage and any way to remove upkeeps.

Sorsha will be in back running support so tramples are not a problem for her. If you can get a crippling grasp on the WG thats about the only way you will shut this list down.

Its very nasty at 35 points. Where you are guessing he's planning a deathstar... he has a Deathstar. Its very vulnerable to blasts, but still resilent due to bob / weave and Josef.

What does well against it? Slamming your own models through the death star, you get to ignore the defense and just splat them when you slam your own jack throw them. Cryx has lots of jacks that cannot be knocked down. Line up the slam and go, will be making his living making tough checks.

Consider Mortinabra, its a little outside the box, but her feat, plus all the ability to repair your own models, plus lots of jacks would help. Plus you'd likely have Deathjack at that point, he tends to kill Beast 09 on the Charge, and your charge lane will be larger due to movement buffs and ghostly.

The Reavers are the biggest problem, they are fantastic, but if you can get 1 wound on them they die. The Trolls for cryx + slaughterborn might be preferable for that. Just send in Slaughterborn ahead of the unit, he will probably drop 3 of the reavers in 1 turn.

Bile thralls don't care about Iron Flesh or Doom Reavers either and if they make their tough roll, they will have to test again unless they get rid of corrosion. The WG blob won't withstand many attacks like that (not that much infantry can anyway).

Amazing list. you obviously know what your doing. Sorscha works perfectly with every unit there.

All im going to say is that i feel sorry for your opponant...

Glad to hear the feedback guys. For the record we arent tailoring our list to kill eachother off only. Any of you guys been in tournements? What have you seen as far as lists that he should keep an eye out for?

If you are playing Cryx i would watch out for Legion and Cygnar. More so Legion, Searyn is a tuff match up for Cryxx. The Scythians RFP animus is a huge denial tool against Cryx. Cygnar can just shoot the front of your army off the table each turn. I think Cygnar has the best answer for Cryx, but the players as a whole have not exploited this yet.

For the Khador player, like I said early in the thread. AOE spam does not care about your DEF. I run Menoth as my 2nd faction and just drop templates and kill you tht way. You will also see epic Eiryss all tournament. She can shoot off an upkeep and with aiming she is RAT 11 I think. Purification is making a huge appearence as well.
