not after specific unit values!

I played a game against BA yesterday and looking back, his list looked a little light for our points value.

I am hoping that someone with the required knowledge or codecies could add this up and give me a total number. Again, i'm not looking for specific points values of the separate units, im just concerned that this guy is scuppering himself in his games, he always seems to being a very small army and gets owned quite often.

here is what he brought to a 1999 points game:

Dante
5 Sagnuinary Guard (all with power weapons, 1 melta Pistol, Banner)
5 Sagnuinary Guard (all with power weapons, 1 Melta Pistol)

10 Assault marines (Jump packs)
2 Sanguinary Priests (attached to assault sqaud and Dantes squad)

SM Captain (Power Weapons, CombiMelta, MeltaBombs, Artificer Armour - i think...he had a 2+ save but wasn't in termie armour)

I think that the total of that is actually 2025pts. He'd have to drop the Skyhammer missiles to make it legal. I could be wrong though.

With that few models i was expecting him to be well under the 1999 mark. I guess those Sanguinary Guard are more expensive than i thought.

He conceded at turn 4 after my 2 squads of heavy D's had hopped around blasting each Guard Squad to dust.

Ok, I'm just going from Battlescribe plus the June WD, the Stormtalon being 155 is the only slight thing that I can spot but you're close enough.

I am sure you are right and didn't see your total once I started the points. Thought a rough break down per unit would help to show what are MVP and what are pretty awful, in comparison with their points out lay.

Nipple wing is pretty expensive and hard to make work. Then vanilla allies you have to be careful with what you want to take from them.
So the list could spend points better but also make the units work better together.

Anyone know whether nipplewing works in 6th, I refuse to believe it really worked in 5th.

I think it coudl have worked, if he had used 2 units to multicharge my necrons (that way only one gets overwatched, which with a 2+ save isn't goign to do too much) and the second unit makes it in unmolested.

Also, he would have been better off in this game if he had started them on the table rather than Deep Striking them.
