I'm just wondering if the ork barricades on GW's website would count as Aegis Defense lines for the purpose of taking guns with them.

They are pretty close. You may need to cut two of the barricades in half to have 4 large and 4 small pieces. I feel it would be a fair appropriate use of those barricades. Makes a valid 'counts as'.

Or just use two barricades as two small pieces each.

Also note that nothing forces you to place all pieces of the defense line, so you could just place four ork barricades.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

I agree. Even in the BRB, under the "Battlefield Debris" section it defines the defense lines to work exactly like barricades. I think it's barricades any way, but double check me.

Yeah, barricades are probably gonna be allowed by atleast a great deal of TOs if you follow any of the suggestions given above.

That said, I feel like the best part about the orks is how amazingly easy you can make your own rickety conversions for them

I'd suggest making something in the style of this, but smaller to fit the scale of the normal one, obviously
