hello everyone! i am new here on this site, but i am no stranger to how awesome it is. finally decided to stop being lazy and join you guys. great work all over the place, excited to post stuff and learn and mingle here on the forums. a little about my wargaming experience:

i played magic the gathering for 12 years and decided after losing a PTQ that i would give it up in loo of 40k. what a great trade! i have been playing now for almost 3 years and have had a wide range of armies; tyranids (my first army and most fun playing. sold it to a buddy of mine when i wanted to try something new) , CSM, eldar, dark eldar (current), orks, daemons, and currently working on creating my own custom chapter of dark angels (using a mix of CSM, SM, DA, BA, and BT templates)

i love painting and doing minor conversions (mainly posing, not very good with sculpting or using GS). i have done some commission work, mainly with tyranids, tau, and CSMs. that being said, i am not a pro by any means, but i do feel like my models look a little bit better than standard table-top quality.

for me, 40k is all about the hobby aspect with the game being just an added bonus. i use to play at a local shop before i moved and came in 3rd place during an escalation campaign. now i don't know too many people that play, so i have been working on just making my dudes look sweet.

i love hearing/reading about how people do their conversions and paint jobs as everyone has their own style and techniques and it's amazing how one can take all of that information to create their own.

hopefully this site opens up more possibilities for what i intend to do with my own dudes. there is so much talent on these boards and i can only aspire to someday reaching the level that many of you have.
