Currently I play GK and enjoy them very much. But I am interested in playing a new army. Somethin different, so maye not an elite army as GK are super elite, but fun. So please respond with your recommendations

What kind of playstyle are you looking for?

Assault?

Shooting?

A good Mix?

want allies?

Id like either an all assault or all shooting army (i know not all but focusing) i wouldn mind allies but its not a neccesity

Any of the SM armies can do a shooting army, and the Guard are pretty much all shooting.

Ultramarines are shooting heavy, as are Imperial guard. SW and BA have some good shooting builds.

For all assault you may want to try demons. (SW's also can do an assault heavy army really well.)

If you want to stay away from "elite" forces go with the fallowing list

Shooty
Dark Eldar Warriors
Tau
Guard

Close Combat
Orks
Daemons
Dark Eldar Witches

The Smurfs are as vanilla as vanilla gets! To the point that they read their codex every time they need to take a crap!

From a painting and collecting perspective, if you're choosing between IG and SW, I'd go IG just because then you aren't stuck in what is basically all the same type of armoured beasts. You'll have a lot of variation in your models and choice.

I'm not gonna say anything about economics since you have decided paying for one army wasn't enough.

I'm with purifier go with IG simply because sm won't be much of a change from your GK

Haha and that one is possibly the most expensive. Which is more expensive just out of curiosity?

I am not a huge fan of them but dont forget about the sister of battle they are interesting and have a unique playstyle.
