Subject: Newly Built Necron Models, Questions!

I just picked up a bunch of Necron kits and stupidly fully built my Triarch Stalker and Ark.
I really want to take my time and paint this army as professionally as I can. I noticed most are painting their models partially built to have easier access to certain parts. Do you think I'll be able to still get by fine even if they are fully built? I wanted to use them in play so bad I couldn't wait...

Shouldn't be too big a problem (depends obviously on the figures, although regular Necrons shouldn't be too hard to reach in their dirty place), if you're playing with the models a 50 hour paint job seems a little overkill anyway

Life is like a box of chocolates. A cheap, thoughtless and perfunctory gift nobody ever asked for. Unreturnable because all you get back is another box of chocolates. So you're stuck with this undefinable whipped mint crap that you mindlessly wolf down because there's nothing left to drink. Sure once in a while there's a peanut butter cup or a English toffee, but they're gone too fast and the taste is fleeting. So you end up with nothing but broken bits of hardened jelly and teeth shattering nuts. If you're desperate enough to eat those all you've got left is a. An empty box, filled with useless brown paper wrappers. |

Ah ok, hopefully it'll be alright! I know that playing with the models isn't ideal but I really don't want to have to buy a second Necron army to play with =( I'll definitely be extremely careful and handle them with care when I do play with them!

Trouble is, it isn't just you. The better the paint job, the more other people are going to want to pick it up. The more people pick it up, the greater the chance it'll get damaged.
Still, could be worse. Orks, amongst others, have more bits to break off than 'crons do. You should be fine!

"Ask ten different scientists about the environment, population control, genetics, and you'll get ten different answers, but there's one thing every scientist on the planet agrees on. Whether it happens in a hundred years or a thousand years or a million years, eventually our Sun will grow cold and go out. When that happens, it won't just take us. It'll take Marilyn Monroe, and Lao-Tzu, and Einstein, and Morobuto, and Buddy Holly, and Aristophanes…then all of this…all of this…was for nothing. Unless we go to the stars." To be honest I generally always make things in stages. For example build the model thn add the arms when painted.
Also its about how much fun you want to have while painting, I collect Dark Eldar more for the fun of painting and converting than actually playing 40k !
However another reason I dont play much is every time I transport my army I have to get the glue out pre game to fix something thats broken !
