Is there any way to order Forge World in the States?

Not directly. Forgeworld do ship worldwide, but the postage is steep.

The postage is free over a certian amount.

FLGS don't carry it as they don't get a discount. They would have to pay full retail and then sell it at a markup over retail. Order it directly from FW, free shipping on most orders.

I really want to do a pre Heresy army but the kick in the wallet may be more than my wife will tolerate.

I have seen and heard some rumors about it coming stateside soon, maybe wait a month or two.

I tried some search-foo on FW USA and a ton of FW coming to Amarica rumor threads poped up. I'm not going to hold my breath on that one. I may just have to save up and order direct. Thanks guys.

EBAY!!!! Definitely a good source of FW products for the United States.

Also, keep a sharp eye out on the multitude of bits sites. Some of them deal in FW bits, which may come in handy.

There were rumors of that in the Forgeworld Models go Official in 40K 6E thread a while back. I hope it's true.

Forgeworld stuff is expensive. Add international shipping and a delay of weeks to months to get your stuff and it becomes even less attractive.

I'm getting so spoiled by Amazon's 2 day shipping that waiting a few weeks for anything seems like an eternity.

If you believe the rumors, FW might be opening up a US location, so we'll see how that pans out.
