I seen some 15mm Axis and Allies models for sale and i am in need of a few cheap models. Are they any good? I was thinking of remounting and a little touch up paint work for them. so i may use them for my Glider Infantry. I was thinking of getting a few of the At guns.

I have some of them and I can say they will not work well for FoW. They are more realistically proportioned than BF miniatures, so they look very skinny and somewhat short next to them. The AT guns, on the other hand, are made onto their round bases and are not removable, so they are not really usable.

Some of them work well, a lot don't. You really need to see them in the 'flesh' before buying them.

Do not underestimate the Squats. They survived for millenia cut off from the Imperium and assailed on all sides. Their determination and resilience is an example to us all.

Its just a shame that they couldn't fight off Andy Chambers.

Allot of Axis and Allies miniatures are not 15mm in scale, many are considerably smaller. Your best bet is to see them in the flesh.

Sounds like i better stick with my orginal plan of using the BF models. The one i was going to use was the 37mm AT guns. The site where i was going to buy them from had them for a 1.50 each. So that is why i was thinking about using them.
My orginal plan is to buy the BF singles and use old glory crew men.Since i have to pik up a pack for a few other models. 57mm At guns and my 75mmm PAck Howitzers.

In addition to what I previosly listed, they are also made of a cheap rubbery plastic, which is very easily bent in the packaging and is almost impossible to bend back into place. They also tend to be very off scale like their tanks, so it is best to just avoid using them.

It is probably also cheaper, and easier to buy stuff like that from PSC or other such places.

The first 5 sets of A&A vehicles were not strictly 15mm in scale. The sets beginning w 1939-45 were redone to be 15mm scale.
1939-45
North Africa
Eastern Front
Counter Offensive
Early War 1939-45
IIRC are the new sets w correctly scaled vehicles.

Their earlier minis were *not* 15mm scale. The later sets released were 15mm. I have some A&A cromwells in my collection. They look fine next to my battlefront cromwells, but don't look as "buff" as the BF tanks. That works fine on the table though, since you aren't down at a level where you are specifically comparing the two together during a game. All in all their armor is more useful for FoW than the infantry or guns are. The infantry and guns would be hard to take off their original bases without damage due to the soft plastic used on them.
There are plenty of other sources for 15mm WW2 minis if cost is an issue. Companies like Peter Pig, Plastic Soldier Company and Old Glory all make alternatives that don't cost as much as the BF figs. I just bought an entirely new LW war British Irish Guards tank army from PSC for under $100 bucks by buying 2 boxes of their Sherman Firefly tanks. Will enable me to make enough fire flys and regular shermans for 3 full platoons plus the HQ, whereas if I bought them from Battlefront it would have cost me closer to $200.

There are also pre painted and pre assembled models if that is what you are interested in.

If cheap is your goal, Axis and Allies Miniatures will be tough to use because many of the units are "rares", and will be cost prohibitive because of this status. However, there are some exceptions. I have found the Marders on Ebay (search for "lot", " pcs", "Axis Allies", "Marder", etc. on Ebay). are a good deal. They must be commons. Some Hong Kong seller has continually sold them and you can get 5 Marders for about $9 with shipping. They work for a cheap, prepainted army.
Later in this post (just above), Makarov mentions Point of Contact miniatures. If you are looking for cheap, prepainted models, these are the best bet for the units they sell. There are some scale issues, but nothing too noticeable unless you are comparing side by side. The turrets do move, and they include some weights inside the model to add some heft. I have been happy with my purchases of their models, especially for that secondary / tester / loaner army.
For pure cheapness, PSC is the best, although you need to assemble, paint, etc. And as Jack Burton said, "time is money to a guy like me"....
