Hey Dakka,

Like the post title says, i'm looking for a good grey spray primer for my Orks. White bases always look too bright for non-eldar IMHO, and black is boring. I've had a couple people recommend using mid-tone base coats, and i figure there's nothing as mid-tone as grey.

I've tried the Krylon Automotive spray primer....but it goes on too thick no mater how it's manipulated, and obscures detail.

Any suggestions would be awesome. Thanks guys.

Army Painter has grey spray, as well as green sprays which would suit orks even better.

the Vallejo Grey Surface primer shrinks on the model so if your brush it on it should still be pretty good

but spraying is way easier!
