Hi all

Can SW Fenrisian wolves taken as wargear for the Lord, for example, participate in challenge? Can they take wounds from enemy character attacks (redirected from Lord)?

How such challenges work at all?

no, although taken as wargear they are entirely separate models, as such, they can't attack an opposing character in a challenge, nor can they take wounds for their master who is in a challenge.

They are effectively the same as any other model he might be attached to.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

What Drunkenspleen said. Only the Challenger and Challengee can participate in the fight, so the Wolves are unable to join in.

Fenrisian Wolves as Wargear got a little weird. In 5th edition they were treated as a separate unit that had to stay within 2" coherency of the model that purchased them, meaning you often had 3 units in combat (the wolves, the IC, and the squad the IC joined). In 6th edition you do not treat ICs as separate units anymore, so it seems the Fenrisian Wolves become fully part of the unit the IC joins. You still have to be within 2" of the IC, but they can take wounds before any of your Power Armor does (or absorb some AP2 shots).

With the absence of any updated rules for Fenrisian wolves and challenges, you fall the what is stated above. The fact that they are wargear does not override the rules for challenges in any way.

If you are jumping on the Dinobot meme bandwagon regarding the new Warhammer 40k Chaos models, grow the feth up!
