Having watched a lot of silly videos made in Gary's Mod, I have noticed a recurring gag: a black bald guy in a white shirt who is obsessed with pills. I assume he is from Half-Life (which I haven't played) but as funny as I find him, I have no idea where the gag stems from.
Can anybody explain where the "pills pills pills!" joke actually originates?

The black guy in a white shirt is Louis from Left 4 Dead. He's not actually obsessed with pills in game, but the game has some easily abused voice commands/responses because painkiller pills are one of the two healing items.

We used Louis as bait...
Expert was so much easier with 3 people and an AI than 4 people...
