Just curious, I know a lot of forums impose Character limits and was wondering if Dakka had these or not.

Haha, I'm mainly asking because Im thinking of starting a blog, but I want to set it up so that I can just keep spoiler quoting myself after a date in the first post, as one of the things I dislike about blogs is that you have to scroll through everything to find the goodies

Also if you just want to read one person's contibution to a thread (say that dude who started a PM blog about makeing awesome terrain) you can just hit the "filter thread" button under his name at the side<< and you'll only see his posts.

So if you want to get the meat without the chaff you can do so.

*facepalm* Yea, Forums are one thing I know very little about, even being a Computer Science major and huge computer geek, Forums to me are like the donkey-cave of the Internet, they're usually HORRIBLE! Because, anonymity and very opinionated people, well... it ends badly to say the least... That being said, Dakka is an awesome group of people, because the worst I've seen is condescending replies about people's Google-Fu being quite lacking.

Also that little page icon top left of each post, it links to specific pages. That way in my blog you'll see that I have a table of contents that takes you to specific posts.

You can then break it down into stuff like concepts, WIP, completed models, etc. So they know what to expect. Then if it overlaps, just put it in multiple categories and label it the same.

The limit is 64KB of text per post.

That's something like ~65536 including spaces, isn't it?
