Tanith uniforms are easy. We all know what they wear... and I seem to recall the Verghastites receiving similar uniforms (black and camo-cape.)

This leads me to the Belladonians. In the newest book, they are mentioned as to be wearing "dark blue almost black" in their dress uniforms. Assuming said blue would carry over to combat...

What exactly are the uniforms of the other two groups within the forces? Do they all wear the Tanith uniforms? Did they bring their old ones?

I'm sure its mentioned somewhere in all the books, but I can't clearly remember anyways. I need to know for model/army purposes, but also for curiosity in the fluff itself for this battle force.

In honour guard (i think) its black fatigues with moulded body armour and webbing. that is the most recent one that I (re)read, so I can't speak for the others

The Tanith and Verghast troops wear the same general uniform, black fatigues, light body armour, camo cloaks etc.
The main differences are the badges, Tanith with the daggers and skull, whilst the Verghastite have a badge with an "axe-rake"

I also remember reading that the Tanith guns have a nalwood stock on their guns whilst Verghast guns have a metal stock.

Hope that I helped Half way through "Straight Silver" now, amazing novels.

They don't all have nalwood (obviously weapons get damaged/lost and need to be replaced) but some do, good call on that one, could be a nice way to distinguish different models within the unit.

It's heavily implied in later books that the Tanith have nap wood furnished weapons. Corned goes from having a wire stock foldup rifle in Necropolis to having a nap wood furnished rifle later.

Something I always see wrong is their camp cloaks are always described as piebald (white and another colour in patches), but artwork always has them with standard green/brown camo cloaks.

My buddy collected all of the Gaunt's Ghosts and let me read them all ... I had to much free time. haha

When the Belladonians joined the Ghosts they we're issued the same equipment as the Tanith and Verghastites. But the Tanith and Verghastites lost command and control of the regiment.

I don't want to give out any major spoilers, but in the latest book, The First and Only is joined by a company of Belladonians (A band company) and reinforcements from Verun Hive ( Six combat companies). The Band Company of course are issued dress uniforms, but is quickly converted into a support unit and is reissued normal Tanith equipment. As for the new Verghastite reinforcements they go into battle wearing the old Hive PDF uniform, Which I believe is a grey or black fatigues and a spiked helmet.

I hope all this helps guys.

This may not help, but the original cap badge for the Tanith regiment was a skull with three daggers. These represented each of the 3 first founding regiments. After the destruction of Tanith the ghosts snapped of two of the daggers to represent the fallen.

Alright, I was trying to figure out perchance if the Belladonians had a different outfit before modelling them. Thanks everyone! Also some interesting points made.

On a side note if you're going to model the Belladonians, you might want to give them helmets of some sort (Standard Cadian helmets should be good). I say this because they are described to have kept on to their more standard infantry gear instead of ditching it like the Tanith and veteran Verghastites.

Anyone assimilated into the Tanith First and Only through the Act of Consolation was given their own issue of Tanith black fatigues and camo cape. So Tanith, Verghast and Belladon should have relatively similar wargear, but then if you want to get into some real detail, you could always decide to give Tanith members blue spiral tattoos, Verghast soldiers could have some kind of gang markings, as for Belladon i don't believe their are any kind of tattoos commonly mentioned. You could also give Tanith soldiers Nalwood stocks on their lasguns.

I haven't really noticed any mention of the Belladonian armour, but I think everyone has camo-cloaks, but the Verghast and Belladons all have folding metal stocks, while the Tanith only have some.
Badges, as said, are the main difference.
Plus it's worth noting that the Tanith especially tend not to wear helmets while (IIRC) the others tend to wear theirs more.

Belladon was my primary issue yeah. I own tanith models...and lots for my purposes. Belladon though, they confuse me so. I wish I knew their exact outfits.
