I have read some other posts on this but I am still trying to wrap my head around what can and cannot be done vs the last codex.

For example of this discussion lets assume I am running a Assault Squad (10) with 2 melta guns, a sgt and a priest in terminator armor. Priest is at the back and the unit suffers 14 wounds.

In the last codex I would divey them up based on loadout, 10 to the bums, 2 to the melta, 1 to the sgt and 1 to the priest.

Now in this codex I would potentially roll all 14 saves on the closest marine, moving back once he fails... but if I had no priest I would roll all 14 at the same time. If they all have the same armor, can I split them up like in 5th edition?

Also, if the same unit of Assault Marines had Corbulo (3+, 2+FNP) at the front vs the terminator priest would I have to roll all 14 wounds on him alone due to his special FNP or is that not considered in the mixed saves portion?

Do this for each group of wounds in the wound pool

All saves the same: Roll all saves, Allocate Unsaved Wound, LOS or not, roll FnP (If all models have the same FnP, you can roll all FnP when you roll the saves)

Mixed saves: Allocate Wound, LOS or not, roll saves, roll FnP...

The key is that LOS triggers immediately on the *allocation*.

The important thing to remember with mixed groups is to never roll more dice then the current pool has remaining wounds.
So, if your terminator priest was up front, you would be rolling 2d6 at a time, fully resolving each roll, until he was taken down to 1 Wound. At that point, you drop to 1d6 at a time until he's dead. On to the next closest group.

No. You group them by save only and them remove starting at the front.
