Mindstrike forces a perils on a psyker it hits, ghosthelm saves from perils on a 3+; rerollable with fortune.
I read the other day that ghosthelm only prevents you from taking perils after you cast a spell; but that doesn't appear to be what it says in the Eldar book. The wording on Ghosthelm seems very specific, that it is a 3+ save against perils; and since fortune allows rerolls on saves; Uthwe and his boys all have 3+ rerollable saves on perils.
Is this really how its supposed to work?

It's not a save, it's a chance to negate outside of normal saves (like FNP). It's just 3+, no rerolls, but it applies to all perils.

So its a 3+ save vs perils, but shouldn't be allowed rerolls from Fortune?
I'd have to read the relevant paragraph, but I don't have an Eldar codex here with me.

Its not a save, just like FnP.
You don't get to reroll it from Fortune.

As quark and Grey Tempalr have stated, it's not a save. Perils of the Warp is negated on a roll of X.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
