Good tutorial. Using lots of washes and glazes like that will definitley give natural transitions and lots of contrast.

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better. |

I would have to say probably not. marines are alot more non-organic and hard material than orcs are. They do alot better with drybrushes / layering / edge highlighting.
But i do have to say, the method on this is brilliant for hordes of boyz / gretchin. I would take more time on warbosses / nobz, but if i needed to pain 150 shoota boyz (the only way to play orks properly), then this is what i would do.

You can do it on human models like Catachans with Rheikland Fleshshade.
