Here are a couple of pics I took of my recently completed Triarch Stalker (sorry for the crappy pic quality, all I had was my iPhone). The base is custom made from a CD with a piece of plsaticard on it as I am of the opinion that anything that can fight in Close Combat needs to have a base. The model is painted with a heavy use of weathering powders for the rust effect with additional high lights afterwords with Runefang steel.

Looks like it crawled up from the sands of mars. Really nice job.

Every Dakkanaught gets a 4+ Pinch of Salt save.
When you suffer a Falling Sky hit, roll a D6 - on a 4+ the hit is ignored as per the Pinch of Salt save. On a 1-3 panic insues - you automatically fail common sense tests for the next 2 weeks and get +7 to your negativity stat. -Praxiss

The Chalky dusty effect really works with the model. I do like the base, I feel like it needs some thing else on the base maybe.
Other than that, I really like it! top job!

The base isn't complete. I am just getting getting everything up to game speed painting wise and I also have decided what else I want to put on it lol.

Looks great! The green looks great and could even be more contrasting with the red.
The base looks awesome (the rock in the front side picture looks really outer spacey).

Life is like a box of chocolates. A cheap, thoughtless and perfunctory gift nobody ever asked for. Unreturnable because all you get back is another box of chocolates. So you're stuck with this undefinable whipped mint crap that you mindlessly wolf down because there's nothing left to drink. Sure once in a while there's a peanut butter cup or a English toffee, but they're gone too fast and the taste is fleeting. So you end up with nothing but broken bits of hardened jelly and teeth shattering nuts. If you're desperate enough to eat those all you've got left is a. An empty box, filled with useless brown paper wrappers. |
