We'll find out soon enough eh.

I love my clay shapers, my wax carvers, and my dental tools, but more and more I'm finding them to be annoying to use or just plain inadequate for the sort of really small detail work I want to be doing. I found something that's spot on in terms of what I'm after, at this chap's blog, but I don't have the resources to forge my own metal tools, and he doesn't appear to be selling them right now, so does anyone know where I can pick up something similar? I mean that in terms of the actual tool tips, I'm not fussed about them having a fancy xacto-style handle or anything.

Cheers.

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.

"Your society's broken, so who should we blame? Should we blame the rich, powerful people who caused it? No, lets blame the people with no power and no money and those immigrants who don't even have the vote. Yea, it must be their fething fault." - Iain M Banks

"The language of modern British politics is meant to sound benign. But words do not mean what they seem to mean. 'Reform' actually means 'cut' or 'end'. 'Flexibility' really means 'exploit'. 'Prudence' really means 'don't invest'. And 'efficient'? That means whatever you want it to mean, usually 'cut'. All really mean 'keep wages low for the masses, taxes low for the rich, profits high for the corporations, and accept the decline in public services and amenities this will cause'." - Robin McAlpine from Common Weal

They don't look much different than dental tools to my eye. Not the ones they use for cleaning - but the ones used for sculpting fillings and creating crowns.

I don't use the larger adhesive spatulas much for carving - but the smaller shapers get a fair amount of use.

With regards to the link though - most of what is done there can be done with a Dremel and various abrasive heads. The big grinding wheel just makes things go a bit faster. There also isn't a significant reason that you would need to use steel either. Brass rod is plenty strong to push putty. Easier to shape as well.

For that price you should check out this guy or girl's eBay account:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/190702235376?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2648

I bought this one, has pinning tools and files, but he sells multiple. I don't have them in yet but as far as handling and description vs. price go I'd say that's a good buy.

Edit 2: I received the package today. Goods were as described shipped reasonably fast
Edit: this one was suggested when i was on that page: http://www.ebay.com/itm/18pc-Wax-Green-Stuff-Carving-Model-Tools-Warhammer-40k-Carvers-Wrap-Up-Case-/190706972875?_trksid=p4340.m1985&_trkparms=aid%3D444000%26algo%3DSOI.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D13%26meid%3D954572550896136380%26pid%3D100012%26prg%3D1014%26rk%3D2%26

Life is like a box of chocolates. A cheap, thoughtless and perfunctory gift nobody ever asked for. Unreturnable because all you get back is another box of chocolates. So you're stuck with this undefinable whipped mint crap that you mindlessly wolf down because there's nothing left to drink. Sure once in a while there's a peanut butter cup or a English toffee, but they're gone too fast and the taste is fleeting. So you end up with nothing but broken bits of hardened jelly and teeth shattering nuts. If you're desperate enough to eat those all you've got left is a. An empty box, filled with useless brown paper wrappers.
