Basically, I'm trying to spam the more powerful units in the codex, genestealers, Hive Guard, and trygons. I think the Winged Hive Tyrant is also extremely powerful, and a biomancy spamming swarmlord can be deadly.

Ont he 500 point list, I would drop one HG and make the Termigaunts devilgaunts. That 30 shot unit is really tough in 500 point games.

Umm, ok, I feel like that leaves me lacking in the AT department, especially because the gants are being used to just tarpit, but I'll take a look.

At 500 pts. there is not really a lot of heavy armor around. Troops are critical in 6e, and at 500pts. 30 s4 shots can potentilaly drop a squad a round.

Nids have the best 500 point list this game has:

Tervigon cat TS AG
11 termigaunts
10 termigaunts
trygon

12W T6 with fnp going around. 3 units of termigaunts minimum for capping that can all gain the benifit of the terv. Trygon can also DS to deal with fast lists like DE. Powers can also be switched around to try to get something better since terv has 1 power base and then cat adds another.

1000 points that tyrant is way too expensive. 260 points for 4W T6 3+ is a bad investment. Even in 1500 points that is a lot. Going with shell and devourers drops 20 points and is much more survivable.
