So, this is the first model finished for my Deathwatch Squad that I'll incorporate into my Raven Guard army as Sternguard veterans.
CnC is much appreciated.

I have a little hobby-thread going in the P&M section. Some say it's the best blog on Dakka, some don't agree, most belive it would be better if I finished at least one project some time this century and not just kept starting new ones.
Check it out, you just might like it.

Looks great, I have little experience in painting black armour but the highlights look amazing and give it a great definition. The colour on the cape is also amazingly well done as is the simple yet effective basing.

If I had one critisism the panel on the rear of the backpack looks like it could do with something (freehand, decal, etc), at the moment it looks a little empty.

Even though you've only used about 3 main colours here the effect is superb. I can see lots of rich detail and highlights. Maybe try practicing painting designes on a piece of paper and add one to the hem of the cloak? Really make him a worthy Captain!

Wow, a captain who has two hands on a boltgun and looks like he is shooting it.

How come in 15 years of the hobby I have never seen that? >.>

Looks cool (Pose, conversion and painting!).

That looks very nice. I've been wanting to make a Deathwatch army for awhile now, but I only made the one squad as per the White Dwarf issue years ago. I think there would be a lot of players that would enjoy playing Deathwatch.

As for criticism, the only thing I could think is that maybe the robe could use some color on that raised area, but it looks great as is as well. The basing is top notch.

Awesome job! Silver hand stands out really nice, cloak is just amazing. You could freehand something on the backpack panel, but that's a really minor thing.
