Hi Dakka,

This list is something I have been cooking up as of late and wanted to get some feedback. Is it competative at all?

It is a short range shooty army with lots of punch.

HQ:
Reclusiarch w/ TDA and Storm Bolter

SB Terminator Command Squad x5, Sgt has combi-plasma, 2x Assault Cannons, TH

Emperors Champion, ATW

Elite:
SB Terminator Squad, 2x Assault Cannons, TH

SB Terminator Squad, 2x Assault Cannons, TH

Troop:
Initiates x5, Lascannon, Plasmagun, 2x Bolters, BP/CCW, Frag Grenades

Initiates x5, Lascannon, Plasmagun, 2x Bolters, BP/CCW, Frag Grenades

Fast Attack:
Land Speeder Typhoon x2

Land Speeder Typhoon

Fortification:
ADL w/ Quad Gun

Allies HQ:
Castellan Crowe

Allies Troop:
Purifier Squad x10 w/ 4x psycannons, 3x Halberds, 2x Hammers, psybolt ammo

Comes out to 1998.

Army has 4 scoring units (when purifiers are Combat Squaded)

Crowe will go with a combat squad of the purifiers (3x Halberds and 2x Hammers). Terminators will advance up the field firing and providing a bubble wrap for those units back field, One of the crusader squads will man the ADL, Typhoons will skirt the main force and provide fire support. Sheer weight of fire should make this list pretty tough. The only down side is the lack of scoring units. I would class this list as casual-competative.

Curses!!!! Well rats, I guess he will just run around or man the ADL. Ha thanks for letting me know, I should have caught that in his entry.

That is a rather good idea. Adding FNP/FC to the terminator squads would be pretty awesome on top of the TH. But BT fluff says no psykers (except GK) can ally with them (in the BT Codex).......However, I could take Dante and a squad of Sang Guard.

I would take a GK libby since BTs don't have access to psychic powers.
Also if you throw the command squad with the quad gun you can use the chaplain's BS and the tank hunter rule for the quad gun (just a thought).

Does the Quad cannon gain the Tank Hunter USR when using the BS of unit/ic?

You know once they added the Allies they messed up all the "Fluff". If im not mistake the fluff says not Pyskers peroid i dont have my dex in front of me. Or you could use Dark angels codex and make your termies troops

The only exception to the "no psykers" rule is Grey Knights according to the codex. But yes I agree, they messed all the fluff up with the allies option. Technically the codex still trumps the BRB but it just seems to vague to make a solid yes/no answer about taking psykers from other chapters. Maybe they will FAQ it with the next batch. I hear rumors that they will be releasing a second set of FAQ's towards the end of the summer.

Yes, Under the battlefied Terrain section of the BRB PG 96.
