Basically, a few weeks ago Battlefront posted an update saying that in the upcoming tournament season, at Battlefront run events (i.e., not necessarily indie events), FOW armies would have to be made up exclusively of official Battlefront miniatures. In the update they used the term "FOW Hobby."
A large number of FOW players rightly took issue with this update as well as the use of the term "FOW Hobby." A few days later, Battlefront released another update saying that they would compromise and changed the policy so that FOW armies at Battlefront run events would have to be at least half made up of FOW miniatures, and that common sense should be the rule of thumb and that terrain, planes, and miniatures for units that Battlefront don't currently produce don't count against the limit (and weren't intended to be off-limits originally - the original ruling didn't mention terrain or miniatures for units that Battlefront don't produce at all).
As far as I can tell, most people seem to think this was a pretty reasonable compromise, so there hasn't been much talk of it since. A lot of people still don't like them using the term "FOW Hobby" though.
