Just used a screen cap since it was quick and easy. Again this is a rough draft but Moghur & the Gorebull are planned to be in the minotaur unit. Just something I have been going over with my buddy about. I feel it needs more tarpits for chaos spawn/well just another tar pit.

I would have liked to work slug tongue in there instead of a regular Bray-Shaman but eh. I don't like the Ghorgon but my buddy keeps arguing with me about it. I have not built my own army but I have played a few games so I don't have all the knowledge.

Let me know what you think.

Please keep in mind the Morghur/Gorebull deathstar is the main idea for this build so don't change that if you can.

Please & Thanks. Pardon the nubness.

Update:

3k build

Not sure what to do with some of the last points. Or if I should drop the Ungors down a bit. They are mainly for chaos spawn and to protect the deathstar's flank. Might be pointless to put spears or bsb in there really. So that is easily dropped to toss some more things in there to finish it up.

Okies and I figured the core needs some more work but with the Pelt of Shadow and the Bray Shaman do you think not taking the regular shaman would be worth it?

I agree I need more core so I am trying to figure that out and so far I am stumped.

NEVER take shields on Gors! ADHW is much, much better. And you need more core, add some chariots or more Gors. Also Cygors are never worth eh points, take another Gorgon insteadd

Thanks I will switch them to DW.

I don't see how you say that about the Cygor unless im facing a non magic at all army. I know what they both do and I still think the Cygor is a better call with the free stone toss and re-roll to hit anything that has to do with magic. Also debunking wizards if they fail to cast making it a misfire.

I know Gorgons get to regain wounds through eating with better killing blow rolls I think posing 2 separate questions that are both useful will make more problems than two of the same question.

I would be more prone to switch the Cygor for a Jabberslythe.

And ill go to DH.

@ALL:

Should I just work this into a 3k point army?

Hefnaheim

I have played x amount of games with said beast, at I can count on three fingers the times it has made a important impact on the game. And the model looks much better too in my opinion. The Jabberslythe I have never tried actually although I own the kit that is still sitting on my shelf awaiting assembly.
Or as you say go the distance and make it a 3k army

Where to start....

Where is the BSB? (You should change the BSB in your upgrades/items to just SB or Standard Bearer they are not a Battle Standard Bearer
15 Ungor are gonna get raped first round of combat by pretty much everything make this unit bigger and I recommend dropping spears unless you want to add a gorebull to it and take a shadow mage for Mind Razor
Gorebull, I assume this goes with the minotaur which is decent way to lead them with a gorebull or doombull, a doolmbull will give you mroe bang for your buck that armor is kinda weak for a few more points you can get the armor of destiny or f you want something better go with Blackened Armor.
GBS has no protection.
LD8 with no rerolls has me worried get some bestigor with a Standard of Disc. to stick your general in, did I mention to get a BSB?

The Good:
40 Gor is great however you will find S3 to be lacking try and get a beast banner BSB in here "The 206" build is considered the best that is Wargor, BSB, Beast Banner, Shield, Heavy Armor, Gnarled Hide

Fun list and a bit out of the norm but could use some cleaning up. 2 Ghorgons would be fun but not very competitive.

Thanks I am not clear on some stuff still.

I was planning on moving it so I can get a Bestigore unit in there.

I derped I had planned to put the GBS into the Gors but I will probably put him into the Bestigore unit.

The Gorebull is to go with Morghur but I can probably change it around a bit.

Do you think that 2 Ghorgons is too costly? As far as I have seen for competitive there are really only 1 large beasties at 3k.

Thanks for pointing that stuff out I will re-upload a new pic once I have made some changes.

Ghorgons is probably the best of our big rares, however I think they really screwed up and should have gotten rid of Swalllow Whole but retained Strength from Flesh, even if they got rid of the D3 regained wounds and made it 1 wound. you figure all 6 attacks at WS4 would be 3 hits then you gotta roll 6s it is going to happen every other turn at that point so it's not crazy over powered but it is something rather then giving up 6 attacks for a small chance to get some wounds back. Still when compared to other monsters like Aboms, Hydras, Sphinx they just aren't as good and they cost more.

If you're just starting I would shoot for this:
GBS with Jagged Dagger, Talisman of Preservation and steel claws or fencer's blades
BSB (206 build)
Horde of Gor
Horde of Bestigor or 30 strong at least 6 wide is a good amount
If you like Minotaur I would reduce them to 5 or 6, stick in a gorebull to crank up the damage and combat res so they do better a doombull is better though a solid build is Ramhorn Helmet, Heavy Armor, Shield, Sword of Swift Slaying, Dawnstone, Other's Tricksters Shard (gnarled hide would be great too however your BSB is more important) this gives you a 3+ rerollable armor save and every wound you save lets you do an automatic attack, due to ASF and your high initiative you will be rerolling misses even though from the ramhorn helmet.
Also with 2 large hordes you will get drug around by the snout, use what we call chaff that is cheap redirectors and anti redirectors solo razorgors, harpies and ungor raiders do this job well.
If you like the idea of ungors for combat go with 40-50 5 wide for lots of ranks stick with hand weapon and shield for the parry save and cheapness.
That's a good way to start from here you can add in 3 cheap level 1 shaman with the herdstone and other upgrades, park them around it and you get +3 power dice a turn, or go for some gorebulls in the front rank of those minotaur so enemies are hitting against their weapon skill, their toughness and their magic defense items.
