On several occasions I have read army lists that included a captain (or chapter master) in power armour (or artificer) equipped with dual claws.
It seems to me that the only way to get dual claws (or dual hammer) would be with TDA, I don't think one can pick the same item twice.
Am I wrong?

You replace his bolt pistol with a LC and then replace his CCW with an LC. In most instances there is no reason to buy the same upgrade twice.

Well, not only does it look cooler, but if you really felt like it you would be able to reroll both wounds with 2 equipped.

Yeah, LCs let you reroll all wounds. You don't even need 2. 2 just gets you another attack.

And with the new rules you don't necessarily need to have 2. You could take a LC and PF and still get the extra attack.
