So Duke sticks with the Trueborn since his 2+ poison benefits the splinter cannons of the trueborn making 12 3+ poison shots.

The wyches get combat drug re-roll from duke and hopefully will take the pain token everytime.

10 Warriors with the splinter racks work with the Farseers Doom they can then re-roll failed hits AND failed wounds.

Ravagers for S8 AP2 attacks.

Rangers just because you need troops for the farseer.
Didn't upgrade to pathfinders because they don't really need that 2+ cover when you are probably already in some ruins with a 4+ cover save and people won't shoot you most of the time, if they do there's something wrong and isn't attracting enough fire from elsewhere.

Flickerfields are fairly useless in 6th as you get the same benefit from moving. I would drop these for night shields.

I would put the duke with a warrior squad personally, as his 3+ poison will get more shots that re roll to hit.

You could get plasma grenades for the trueborn with the last 4 points you have spare.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

Updated with the Nightshields, but the thing is the flickerfield provides a 5++ save whilst a cover save does not, for the games I have played whenever somebody was able to assault my Ravagers there was no way of preventing it except watching it burn...
I know they shouldn't be assaulted in the first place but it was kinda of a tight situation...

If I put Duke with the warrior squad that would drop total amount of Warriors to 9 for the group though... and the thing is most of the time the gunboat will be shooting at the target with doom so there would be enough wounds already, the trueborn can take out other things in the meanwhile.

Sure I'll add plasma grenades for the Trueborn

Well, I don't see a real reason for taking Eldar allies. The Farseer gives some psychic protection but the Rangers are not a must have. I'd stay with pure DE at this pt level.

well you need troops in order to do an ally list though...and they are good at picking out specific unit in a unit. Especially those Meltas in the back of the group...

Last 2 games I played the opponent just used any psychic spells he liked without me being able to do anything...

He buffed his Doom of Malan'tai with Iron Fist to 10S 10T or something like that and then it kept killing things and ended up with 7+ wounds...

and he gave feel no pain to sooo many troops and couldn't kill as much as I could have wanted to...

Eldar allies is definitely a huge benefit, not sure what wuestenfux is thinking here. For a measly 198pts you gain Doom, 2+ cover scoring snipers with infil/scout, and board coverage against psy powers. That is a serious bargin for an army that typically has no psy defense.

EDIT: btw the runes canceling is no longer out there due to the new wording on RoWard and RoWit. It use to be that Shadow in the Warp and Runes of Witnessing canceled each other.

Yeah, as Dark Eldar we can just stand there and look at people cast spells at us all day long 24-7...
Also, against certain weapons such as Melta with the current wound allocation method there isn't anyway for us to get rid of it before it flames us down...so Rangers/Pathfinders are pretty good at taking them out...

I thought the FAQ meant that they only suffer peril if it is over 12, but they still fail the test if it is over their leadership test though...no?
