Plan and simple can you use Powers during overwatch?

I have seen nothing on here for 5 pages that answers it nor in the rulebook. I don't see anything that says it can be done, nor anything that stats that it is allowed.

page 69, Left Column, 1st sentence has your answer.

"Did you notice a sign out in front of my chapel that said "Land Raider Storage"?" -High Chaplain Astorath the Grim Redeemer of the Lost.

I sold my soul to the devil and now the bastard is demanding a refund!

So..?

Interesting thing as you read down- "Manifesting witchfire counts as firing an assault weapon unless otherwise noted"

pg 21- Weapons and models that cannot fire snap shots cannot fire Overwatch.

So why can't psychic powers (Flame Template + Witchfire that require a BS to hit) be used for Overwatch?

Short answer- *SOME* of them can.

Shooting weapons are used" in the shooting phase, arent they? So does that mean they can't Overwatch?

Witchfire powers are sometimes referred to as psychic shooting attacks.

"An overwatch attack is resolved like a normal shooting attack"

Plenty of answers around the book. This has been debated all over the internet and until GW stops with their multiple riddles, the debate will never end.

And when are Witchfire powers manifested?

"Did you notice a sign out in front of my chapel that said "Land Raider Storage"?" -High Chaplain Astorath the Grim Redeemer of the Lost.

I won't answer that.

That 1st sentence clearly states in which phase you can use Witchfire.

It all hinges on if you can fire Overwatch during the phase listed in that 1st sentence.

"Did you notice a sign out in front of my chapel that said "Land Raider Storage"?" -High Chaplain Astorath the Grim Redeemer of the Lost.

I sold my soul to the devil and now the bastard is demanding a refund!

Yeppers, pal.. I'd imagine, though, that if a Witchfire power can be "Snap-shotted", it could be Overwatched. Almost like another rule (the assault phase) pulling at it in a gravitational sort of way.

EDIT: what a trippy and fallible interpretation.. I think I will stick with it, though. :p
