Quick question, does the defention of ATSKNF in the 6th rule book override the one in the codex? Its all the same expect one USR listed at the end of the defention in the codex that is not there in the rulebook.

Check the FAQ.
The BA FAQ states that the 6th ed rules trump the ATSKNF rules in the BA codex.
I would imagine it is the same for the other marine books.

Players at my local gaming group had an issue with the the new ATSKNF.
When the space marines automatically regroup do they count as moving? or can they fire their weapons as if they were stationary. BRB says they can fire their weapons "normally". does this mean normally (counting as moved if they did), normally (counting as stationary) or normally (counting as moving whether they did or not).
I know in 5th they counted as stationary, but we couldn't agree on RAW in 6th.
Please help dakka

I've checked this for BA, C:SM and GK and can say that the FAQs all state to replace ATSKNF with the version of the BRB.
Kapitan, as for your question - I'll look this up when I have the book, but I believe it's still covered either within there or within the FAQs that the regroup move doesn't qualify as a normal move, so they still count as stationary.

I believe the BRB says that you rally/regroup "..before the unit moves." So that would mean they do not count as having moved since the rally(including the 3" move) happens "before" movement.

Yes, since they can move as normal they can choose not to move, as normal. Which means if they don't move they didn't move.

I read somewhere that if there is conflict beetwen rulebook and codex special rules the one in the codex takes precedence. But if the faq states otherwise then i suppose you should follow what it says.

No conflict here. All of the SM FAQs say to ignore ATSKNF from the codex and use the BRB version instead.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Happy is right but some people have been using this FAQ referencing BRB to go mental on the hierarchy of FAQ>codex>brb.
If the FAQ says to look at the brb then the ultimate voice says to use the BRB rules in this limited area.
